Monsignor Narek Louis Namo appointed as new Exarch for Armenian Catholics in the Holy Land (Jerusalem, and Jordan). 

Catholicos Raphael Pedros XXI Minassian, Patriarch for the Armenian Catholics, after consulting the Fathers of the Holy Synod, appointed Monsignor Narek Louis Namo, as Exarch for Armenians Catholics in the Holy Land (Jerusalem and Jordan)

Monsignor Namo was born in the Syrian city of Qamishli in 1972. He was ordained priest in 1997 by Archbishop Boutros Mariati. He served as a priest for the parish of Saint Joseph in Qamishli, and then continued his mission in the parish of the Armenian Catholic Church in Valence (France). In 2015 was appointed as director of the Armenian Pontifical Institute in Rome.

The ACOHL welcomes and congratulates Monsignor Narek Louis Namo on this appointment. We pray the Lord to enlighten and guide him in his new mission at the service of the Church in the Holy Land. May the Virgin Mary protect him in all his ways.
