What is it?
It is a service offered by the Assembly of the Catholic Ordinaries of the Holy Land for all congregations and different kinds of Catholic institutions providing consultancy services. The legal office is foreseen to be the primary legal advisory reference point to the congregations and institutions who lack proper legal assistance or those who would like to obtain second legal opinion on specific matters in both Israel & Palestine.
Purpose of the Legal Office
In the midst of the rapidly evolving political situation on the ground, there are increasing challenges to the institutions and congregations of the Catholic Church in the Holy Land. Thus, the legal office represents an overarching structure that strives to provide the necessary support to these communities to adequately cope with the multiple issues in a coherent, concreted and unified way.
This office involves several functions that work together to accomplish one inevitable goal through answering the legal needs of all the Christian institutions by providing prompt legal services of high quality while employing every possible solution and technique at our disposal for the purpose of ensuring the most effective legal protection.
What do we do?
The office, supported by a team of lawyers and experts, specializes in services that offers consultations, preparing affidavits, filling forms, and representation in several legal fields.
