The members of the Assembly of Catholic Ordinaries of the Holy Land raise our prayers for the eternal rest of our beloved Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI.
He is ‘away from the body and at home with the Lord’ (2 Cor 5:8).
We remember with gratitude his historical visit as a pilgrim and shepherd to the Holy Land when he encouraged and enlightened us with his presence and teachings.
His humility and wisdom were a precious gift to the Church.May he live in peace in the presence of the Holy Trinity to enjoy forever the recompense of his labours, with Mary, the Virgin Mother of God, with Joseph, and all the Angels and Saints.
