On January 17th, 2023, the staff of the Vicariate for Migrants and Asylum Seekers (VMAS) met in the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem to attend an introductory session about the new Safeguarding policy by the Assembly of Catholic Ordinaries of the Holy Land (ACOHL).
This session is part of a series of trainings being offered to all the employees, priests, and volunteers working in Catholic institutes in the Holy Land.
The training session was led by Ms. Natalie Baddour, Safeguarding Coordinator, during which she explained the importance of this new policy, the protocol required, and the guidance and support her office provides, in order to bring to fruition the successful implementation of this safeguarding policy in all the Catholic institutes here in the Holy Land.
