On September 20, our legal office successfully hosted a workshop on Palestinian Labor Law at the Seminary of Beit Jala. The session was attended by 40 representatives from 35 different congregations and institutions, demonstrating the broad interest in understanding labor laws that apply to Palestinian employees and workers in the West Bank.
The workshop provided an in-depth overview of the Palestinian Labor Law, addressing key aspects such as employer-employee relationships, workers’ benefits and rights, work conditions, employment contracts, and end-of-service procedures. The session aimed to equip participants with essential legal knowledge to navigate and apply these laws effectively within their institutions.
Advocate Fares Odeh, representing Shehadeh Law Office, led the workshop. He presented critical legal insights and shared samples of legal documents, including employment contracts, leave requests, and end-of-service forms. His presentation was particularly valuable in offering practical guidance for dealing with employment-related legal matters.
The workshop was conducted in Arabic with simultaneous English translation, ensuring all attendees could fully engage with the content. The event concluded with a dynamic Q&A session, reflecting the importance and relevance of the topics covered.
